Happy New Year! I am honored to share that I have been re-elected as President of the Board for Avocado Grove HOA. Thank you for your trust and support—it’s a privilege to continue serving our community. Together, we’ve made significant progress, and I am excited to build on these achievements in 2025.

This year, my focus will be on key initiatives that will further improve safety, enhance our neighborhood amenities, and provide lasting value to our residents. Here are the top priorities for 2025:

• Fire Abatement with Tree and Brush Cleanup: Protecting our community from fire risks remains a top priority. We’ll undertake thorough tree and brush cleanup efforts to ensure safety and compliance.

• New Exit on Avocado Hill Way at Colima: To improve traffic flow and ensure safer access, we’re working on plans to create an additional exit at Avocado Hill Way and Colima.

• Repair and Resurface the Roadways: Addressing the condition of our community’s roadways is a priority. We will repair and resurface the roads to improve safety and extend their lifespan.

• Finishing Security and Fence Updates: Completing updates to our security systems and fencing will enhance privacy and safety for all residents.

• Discussion of a Kids’ Playground and Dog Park: I look forward to opening discussions about creating shared spaces, like a kids’ playground and a dog park, that cater to families and pet owners in our community.

• Sale of Communal Property to Residents: For homeowners interested in acquiring communal property adjacent to their homes, I will continue working to facilitate these sales.

These initiatives, alongside our ongoing projects, will help make Avocado Grove an even more desirable and vibrant place to live. I encourage you to share your thoughts, attend meetings, and stay engaged as we work together to achieve these goals.

I want to take a moment to thank my fellow board members for their dedication and hard work. A special thanks goes to Maurice Ghobrial for his service to the board. Maurice’s contributions have been invaluable, and we wish him all the best.

I also want to welcome back Ralph Murrillo, who has been re-elected to the board after a year away. I’m excited to work alongside Ralph, as well as Jonathan Fan, Jessica Russell, and Francine Chiu in the coming year.
